Bucket of Doom by Big Potato Games is a creative, comedy, story-telling party card game where players have to invent the best possible escape plans to escape the instance of impending doom revealed each round. Bucket of Doom works best with high player counts as the number of options provided and the greater creativity will increase as will the hilarity and fun.
Imagine you're a little pig living in a house of straw and the big bad wolf is outside. How could you use a prehistoric mosquito trapped in amber or a load of kids ball-pit balls or a dirty skunk to escape.
Players are given eight random object cards which are double-sided to increase replay-ability. Players choose to play black or white sides but as the rules state, never cross the streams! The first player reads out the impending doom card and players pick the best object the have and come up with the craziest explanation as to how they will escape certain doom using the object. Once all have shared their escape plans, players vote on the best and that player gets to keep the doom card. Used cards are thrown into the bucket, hands are restocked and play continues.
Play continues until the agreed number of Doom cards have been collected by one player (three, five or seven).
Players can agree to employ the MacGyver ruling in which case all object cards have to be combined to create a stunningly combined and creatively crafted solution to the impending doom that has beset you.
Please be aware that many of the cards are very close to the knuckle and as such this game does come with a 16+ rating and should not be played with the easily offended.
With the right group of players this is immense fun and the crazier the storyteller the more enjoyable the experience. So, get thinking, get creative and grab your bucket to save yourself from certain the doom of being trapped in a tanning bed, turned up to 11 as you start to cook!
